Here it is, my new book and my first book in English! Swallowed a Twinkling Star is a book where a modern love story is written with traditional Japanese tanka poetry. There’s romance, eroticism, longing, contiguity, visions, sighs, ambiance. The book tells the story of a relationship and its life-shaking force, the ending of it and the healing that brings something greater with it. In a moment of pain, we don’t always see how it actually benefits us. And that letting go can actually mean we receive. And that what we lost was actually meant to go so that we can have something better and make our dreams into reality.
Swallowed A Twinkling Star is an extended version of my first book Tangat, but in English. Tangat is a tanka poetry book in Finnish and it has the same story and same principles, but I wanted to do something extra with the English version and highlight more the inner growth that the main character goes through. I hope that those little crumbs of healing bring healing to whoever reads it.
The book is proofread by Jukka Jaatinen from Capricorn Translations and it is sold every Amazon in the world, both paper bag and Kindle-version are available. Kindle is Amazon’s own reading app for e-books and is downloadable from the App Store for Apple devices and Play Store for Samsung.
